10 tonne overhead crane replacement for R Beauchamp Pty Ltd in Caringbah

Crane Care completed the replacement of a 10-tonne overhead crane for R Beauchamp Pty Ltd in Caringbah, delivering the project from initial site assessment and engineering through to installation, testing and commissioning.

The project began with a detailed site measurement and assessment of the existing crane system and runway. Crane Care used this information to engineer a new 10,000 kg overhead crane suited to the facility, existing infrastructure and the customer’s heavy lifting requirements.

After the design and engineering stage, Crane Care fabricated the new overhead crane specifically for the application.

Before installation could begin, Crane Care planned and coordinated the removal of the existing large double girder overhead crane. The new 10 tonne crane was then installed on the existing runway system, allowing the customer to upgrade its lifting equipment while using suitable existing infrastructure.

Crane Care completed the mechanical and electrical installation of the new crane, followed by setup, functional testing and load testing. The crane was then commissioned and the required compliance documentation completed before the system was handed over for operation.

By managing the overhead crane replacement from site assessment through to final commissioning, Crane Care provided R Beauchamp Metal Workers with a single point of responsibility for the project.

The completed installation demonstrates Crane Care’s capability to deliver new overhead crane installations, including engineering, crane fabrication, removal of existing equipment, mechanical and electrical installation, load testing, commissioning, and ongoing crane maintenance support.
